Herstory
2014 - The Spark
Packed all my belongings and moved 1,995 miles with unwavering conviction to pursue my passion for both art and technology. After four months of anticipation, I received my acceptance letter to the University of Southern California (USC), igniting a transformative journey into the intersection of art, technology, and design. This milestone became the foundation for my career, where creativity and innovation merge to craft impactful digital experiences.
2017 - A Proud Trojan Alumna
Graduated with a B.S. in Computer Science and a minor in 2D/3D Animation, gaining expertise in Motion Capture, Virtual Reality, and Animation. This milestone solidified my love for blending artistic expression with technical innovation.
2018 – Founding the Bahamian Coders Alliance (BCA)
Established the Bahamian Coders Alliance (BCA), a non-profit organization dedicated to empowering Bahamian high school and college students, as well as aspiring tech enthusiasts, to explore careers in technology. BCA has positively impacted over 300+ students across The Bahamas by providing mentorship, career guidance, and access to essential coding, design, and tech resources. Organized 20+ workshops and meetups, achieving a 95% satisfaction rate among participants. Now, we're setting our sights on empowering 1,000+ students by expanding mentorship programs, hosting 50+ career-boosting events, creating scholarship opportunities, and bridging the gap between talent and industry.
2019 - Discovering My Passion
Explored UX/UI design, embracing the challenge of solving user problems creatively. Developed full-stack design skills and a technical edge, enabling me to translate complex concepts into seamless, high-quality user experiences.
2022 - MBA and Expanding Horizons
Earned an MBA with a concentration in Web Development & Design, strengthening my business acumen, product management expertise, and leadership capabilities. This journey equipped me to bridge the gap between technical innovation and strategic vision.
2023 – Certified Product Manager
Obtained a Product Management Certification from Product School, demonstrating expertise in end-to-end product development, market research, and strategic roadmapping. Strengthened my ability to define product vision, prioritize user needs, and drive agile processes to deliver impactful solutions. Developed a keen ability to align cross-functional teams, leverage data-driven insights, and balance business goals with exceptional user experiences.
2023 - A Commitment to Volunteerism and Community Engagement
Demonstrating my passion for giving back, I volunteered at ProductCon San Francisco where I was selected as Assistant Volunteer Lead. From organizing and overseeing setup to facilitating attendee registration, I focused on creating a welcoming environment for hundreds of product management professionals. Engaging with attendees and gathering feedback underscored my commitment to improving community experiences.
